Rays Said to Be Interested In Werth
According to a report by ESPN’s Jayson Stark, the Rays are at the top of the list as far as team’s interested in Phillies right fielder Jayson Werth.
Such a move would free up money for the Phillies, who could then make a play for Houston right-hander Roy Oswalt. He did not speculate on what the Rays might surrender if such a deal came to fruition. The Rays do not comment about potential trades, but Werth would be a good fit for the team.
The Rays are looking to give their offense a lift. They have not received the kind of production they need from the right field and DH spots this season.

Free up money for the Phillies so they can go ahead & wheel and deal!! We should have known. Its all about the money. Trading Werth would be a huge mistake, right up there when you guys traded Cliff Lee. The only people benefiting from that ridiculous trade would be the Rays.
