Carl Crawford:$100-million man?
Carl Crawford is the primary free agent target for the Angels, and the team is prepared to make him the first $100-million player in club history, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times.
Angels outfielder Torii Hunter told the paper he believes Anaheim’s biggest competition for Crawford will come from Boston.
“The Yankees are not going to go after him,” Hunter told the paper. “They’ve got Cliff Lee. Boston might be the team.”
The Angels are also keeping an eye on Lee but do not expect to “get seriously involved,” the report said.
