Lee offers partially come to light

According to a tweet from Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated, the Yankees have offered one more guaranteed year to Cliff Lee than the Rangers. That means the Rangers have gone as far as six years, but won’t go to the seventh the Yankees added into the mix after Carl Crawford signed with Boston on a seven-year deal.

Heyman also reported there’s a third team in the mix.
It had been previously reported that the Yankees had gone to seven years, but it wasn’t clear if the Rangers had as well.

Now that the Sox have Crawford and Gonzalos, the Yankees will need more that Lee to win the division.
1st thing they need to do is trade for Greinke, Chamberlan and Nova should do it, throw in a prospect if needed. Chamberlan is done and Nova is young enough to be expendable. Greinke has 2 yrs at about 13.5 per yr left.
CC
Lee
Pettite
Greinke
Hughes
This is the only rotation that can get them the division and should give Lee a little enticement.
Next the need to do is resign Kerry Wood, he’s a good set up for Mo and a good backup when he goes down for a few weeks during the season.

Geez. You already have Lee added to the roster, Greike already said he will not play in NY, and Pettite is not guaranteed a return. FYI, Woods will close for another team next year. Why would he want to follow Mo. Because they are the Yankees. I personally hope they do get Lee. Then they will have a geriatric team in two years with a 39 year old SS, a 38 year old Third baseman, A great 1st baseman with leg issues, and a catching tandem of long shots. I hate the Yankees but I like Gardner and Cano. They are the best players on that team. CC is good but he would have lost 5 or 6 more ames if he played for any other team that did not give him the run support he received last year. My prediction for the Yankee rotation is:
Granderson 33, Jeter 37, Tex32, A-Rod 35, Cano 30, Posada 39,
Swisher 35, Gardner 28, Catchers 25, 23.
CC, 32
Hughes, 28
trade from Tampa Garza, 33
Chamberlin, because they have too, 29
and Andy 39 if they overpay or a rookie if they do not. Good luck. The Sox’s rotation:
Lester 28
Buckholtz 28
Beckett 32
Lackey 32
Dice-K 30 will be traded. I like Wake in the five spot better.
Elsbury 27
Pedroia 27
Crawford 29
Gonzalez 28
Youk 31
Papi 35
Drew 36
Lowery 28
Salty 25
Da Da Da Da Da, I’m loving it.

This is one of the problems with our youth today…..Math!

Somehow though Granderson was born After Beckett, Granderson mysteriously ages at a more rapid pace according to a previous post by “opadog”. Other Yankees did as well. Unnecessary to lie in order to prove a point. Here are the true facts:

Granderson is only 29 not 33

Teixeira is 30 not 32

Swisher is 30 not 35

Gardner is 27 not 28

Jeter is 36 not 37

Cano is 28 not 30

CC is 30 not 32

Hughes is 24 not 28

Chamberlain is 25 not 29

Pettitte is 38 not 39

Catchers are (Cervilli 24 & Montero 21) not 25 and 23

The only one’s you got right are A-Rod 35 and Posada 39

Please don’t post something you obviously know nothing about unless you do the appropriate research.

As for Boston, Incredible. Where is Wakefield who is older than anyone on the Yankees at 44.

Where is Varitek at 38 ?

Where is Scutaro at 35?

Where is Cameron at 37?

Don’t you realize that the average age outfield of Granderson, Gardner, Swisher are younger than Elsbury, Crawford, and Drew. You do the Math.
Then again please don’t. (eyes rolling)

WHAT DO THE YANKEES HAVE MORE OF THEN ANY OTHER TEAM? THATS RIGHT YOU GUESSED IT WINNING WORLD SERIS RINGS! So Cliff whats the problem, well I am willing to bet the yankees without Cliff Lee get another before the rangers get one.The whole city of New york waits for your response, and waits and waits. Havent you learned anything from your buddy C.C.. Oops he has a winning ring. Shame on you Cliff Lee for even waiting this long and making the greatest baseball city on earth wait this long. At this point I could care less if you sign with the yankees, but you can bet your *** that the yankees will figure something out with or without you. And keep that winning tradition going. Good luck Mr. Lee.
