7/18 Cubs’ Ramirez in demand
FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal wrote Monday that the Angels are interested in Aramis Ramirez but that the Cubs third baseman is “adamant” he doesn’t want to leave Chicago. Ramirez is a 5-and-10 player, and has the right to veto a trade. He’s also in the last year of his contract with the Cubs. If he is traded, his $16 million option for 2012 would kick in. Ramirez is on a hot streak, batting .368 with 20 runs, three doubles, 10 homers and 18 RBIs in his last 20 games since June 24. Ramirez has said since Spring Training that he would not likely waive his no trade option because he doesn’t want to relocate his family.

how about a third base trade. cubs and giants, you know the players and that would be huge and fits for both of them the cubs should trade 1st basemen with the brewcrew but prince wont be traded unless weeks is with him. Prince said last week he wanted to sign a contract for ten years but with the recent trade the brewers can’t afford that unless they make the playoffs.
