Furcal in Uniform

Despite being absent from Saturday night’s starting lineup amid strong indications that he will be traded to St. Louis, shortstop Rafael Furcal is in uniform and taking part in pre-game stretching with the Dodgers. — Ken Gurnick

I do NOT believe the Cardinals need this guy. Theriot who is offensively lighting the field up the last few days will get buried along with Schumaker for at bats. Punto is also hurt right now and on his way back which will further tighten the at bats. I have much more faith in Theriot than I do Furcal at the plate. Yes Ryan T has made errors. Many were front of the year. Solidify the closer position Cardinals.
