Bell to be announced Monday

DALLAS — The Marlins are expected to announce the signing of closer Heath Bell on Monday afternoon.

A news conference has been set for 2:30 p.m. CT in Dallas.

Bell reached agreement on a three-year, $27 million contract with the Marlins last Thursday night.

The 34-year-old right-hander comes off an All-Star season with San Diego. In the last three years, he has logged 132 saves.
