Rangers focused on starting pitching
The Rangers are still looking hard for starting pitching. Zack Greinke is at the top of their list. James Shields is another possibility. Josh Johnson’s name keeps coming up but the Rangers are lerry of him. The Rangers don’t want an innings-eater. They want somebody who can make a difference in the playoffs. They would really like Greinke.

Native Texian Josh Beckett is a proven playoff performer, that’s who we need. He wouldn’t cost us a prospect wike Profar either. Zach is a great pitcher, but is too mentally fragile and not worth the risk. Beckett would be like when the Red Sox got Curt Schilling. Beckett would surely get us over the hump.
