Dodgers “close” to landing Nolasco
A source told CBSSports.com’s Danny Knobler the Dodgers are “getting close” to acquiring right-hander Ricky Nolasco from the Marlins, a deal first reported by Ken Rosenthal of Foxsports.com.
Knobler reports the Dodgers would send three Minor Leaguers to Miami and also absorb the remaining money on Nolasco’s $11.5 salary this season.
Nolasco, 30, has been linked to nearly all National League West teams in the past few weeks. The right-hander is 5-8 with a 3.85 ERA in 18 starts this season.
If the deal goes down, Nolasco would fit in behind Clayton Kershaw, Zack Greinke and Hyun-Jin Ryu in the Dodgers rotation.
