Os after Burnett?

The Orioles were one of a few teams in on starting pitcher A.J. Burnett last winter before he signed with the Phillies, but it doesn’t appear they are in on him again. A report from Yahoo Sports on Thursday said the O’s had made Burnett an offer, although a source refuted that report to MLB.com.

Burnett, who will be 38 in January, declined his player option with the Phillies last week. While the O’s could use starting pitching, it would be more in the front-end of the rotation. The Yahoo Sports report did say nothing was imminent on Burnett coming to Baltimore and there’s also reported interest from Pittsburgh on the right-hander.
