Cubs, Diamondbacks Reportedly Discussing Trade

After missing out on free agent Russell Martin, the Cubs search for a catcher may have taken them to Arizona.

The Cubs and Diamondbacks are discussing a trade that would send Miguel Montero to the Cubs, according to a report from FOX Sports.

A baseball source also confirmed to MLB.com that the two teams are discussing a deal.

Montero is owed $40 million over the next three seasons, hit .243 with 13 homers and 72 RBI in 2014.

No indications have ben made as to who the Diamondbacks would specifically receive in the trade, but a subsequent report from FOX Sports said it would be “pitching prospects.”

Who the hell are they expecting to be the catcher…a season is a long time. Tuffy can’t do it alone.
