Rockies talked to Mets about Tulo, nothing there
The Rockies have reportedly been “poking around” on a potential Troy Tulowitzki trade with the Mets, according to Andy Martino of the New York Daily News, though he adds that he’s been told the deal is “not happening.”
This is on par with the reports this offseason that the Rockies plan is to ultimately hold on to Tulowitzki. That said, things could always change if the Mets — or any other shortstop-needy team, for that matter — up their pursuit and sweeten the deal.
The fact that the Rockies have at least entertained the idea suggests that a trade could be possible, but it certainly appears that Tulowitzki will be staying in Colorado.
