Report: White Sox Sign Robertson

The White Sox are not messing around at the Winter Meetings.

While in the middle of heavy trade talks revolving around Jeff Samardzija, reports came out that Chicago had signed closer David Robertson to a four-year deal worth at least $40 million.

USA Today first broke the story.

Robertson, 29, appeared in 63 games for the Yankees last season and finished with 39 saves. The right-hander also struck out 96 batters in 64 1/3 innings.

The Robertson signing will go a long way toward solidifying the back end of the White Sox bullpen, but it is hardly the only major move the White Sox are expected to make.

Numerous reports are linking the While Sox to Jeff Samardzija, who may be traded to the Windy City on Tuesday.

you won’t recognize the Yankees without a scorecard

Robertson will be great for them. Watching him pitch, you can see Mariano’s influence in his windup and release. The Yankees apparently think that Betances can do the job. Based n last year, they may be right. Any minute now they should be signing a big name Free Agent pitcher, either Lester or Shields, and then they’ll load up
