Report: Twins Interested In Santana
Minnesota Twins general manager Terry Ryan said a couple days ago the Twins were looking to add pitching – either through the free agent market or a trade – and that the team had inquired about multiple players.
Ervin Santana seems to be one of those players and the Twins may be on the verge of adding the starter.
A source told MLB.com the Twins are in fact interested in Santana, but a deal is not in place.
The New York Post has also reported interest between the two sides.
Santana, 31, spent the 2014 season with the Braves, but is very familiar with the American League as he spent nine years pitching for the Angels and Royals.
The right-hander went 14-10 with a 3.95 ERA last season and has posted an ERA under four in four of the past five seasons.
