Grilli signs two-year deal with Atlanta
Free agent Jason Grilli has reportedly signed a two-year contract with the Atlanta Braves, according to multiple reports.
After three and a half years in Pittsburgh, Grilli was ousted as the Pirates closer early last season and eventually traded to the Angels in June. He posted a 4.00 ERA with 12 saves over 62 appearances in 2014.
The 38-year-old veteran notched a career-high 33 saves and a 2.70 ERA as the Bucs closer in 2013, his lone All-Star campaign. Though he isn’t joining the Braves to close games; Craig Kimbrel is firmly entrenched in the ninth-inning for Atlanta.
