Report: O’s talking multi-year deal with Tillman
The Orioles are reportedly are in discussions for multi-year contracts with several players, pitcher Chris Tillman among them, according to Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com.
The news comes one day after Tillman avoided arbitration by signing a one-year, $4.315 million contract for 2015 on Friday.
Tillman, 26, has gone 29-13 with a 3.52 ERA from the top of the Orioles rotation the last two seasons. His $4.315 million settlement was the third-highest for a first-time eligible player, behind David Price, ($19.74) and Dontrelle Willis ($4.35).
The right-hander was 13-6 with a 3.34 ERA through 34 games (207 1/3 innings) in 2014.
